Abdul Baaghil

As the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Harvest Cotton Tale, Abdul's expertise includes restaurant and hotel concept creation, development and management with over 20 years’ experience in management positions with some of the industry's leading hotel groups such as the Hyatt Hotels and Resorts (San Francisco and Los Angeles) and Starwood Hotels and Resorts (St Regis, New York). He served as Senior Member of Food and Beverage Advisory Board for The Ritz–Carlton Hotel Company (Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific), and Hotel Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Financial Street, Beijing. 

In 2011, following his tenure as General Manager of Fairmont Hotel & Resorts in Cairo, Abdul went on to co-found and serve as Chief Executive Officer of OB Hotels & Restaurants, which managed a group of luxury concept hotels in Africa and the Middle East, including the award winning luxury hotel The Gabriel. He began working closely with OB Hotels & Restaurants Director of Culinary Bruno Contreras on a number of luxury concept hotel and restaurant projects before joining forces with Contreras to form Harvest Cotton Tale Hospitality Group in 2016.

Abdul is Les Roches alumnus class of 1991 and graduated from the European University in Montreux, Switzerland.

Bruno Contreras

As the Co-Founder and Director of Culinary of Harvest Cotton Tale, Bruno began his career in the early Nineties with several Michelin star restaurants in France, Italy and Germany, including three Michelin star holder "L'Auberge de l'Ill" and "Antica Osteria del Ponte". He was subsequently appointed Executive Chef at Relais & Châteaux and Small Luxury Hotels of the World affiliates. In 2006, as Executive Chef at the Hotel Monument Mas Passamaner (5-stars), Bruno was in charge of Chef Joachim Koerper's two Michelin-starred restaurant "La Gigantea". With Chef Koerper, Bruno created culinary events in Portugal and Spain and was instrumental for the copywriting and photo shoot of Chef Koerper's recipe book.

In Maldives, Bruno was the Executive Chef and F&B Consultant for the 2013 opening of the luxury resort Velaa Private Island. Bruno was appointed the Director of Culinary for OB Restaurants and Hotels in 2012, where he began working closely with its Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Abdul Baaghil on a number of luxury concept hotel and restaurant development projects. Through a shared passion and vision to work on the concept creation and development of boutique hotels and restaurants, Bruno and Abdul co-founded the Harvest Cotton Tale Hospitality Group in 2016.
